Welcome to the internet home of Cain Hill Rottweilers. I am Kathleen Cain and being a Rottweiler enthusiast has been a hobby of mine since 1995. Growing up, my mother was a breeder and enthusiast of the beautiful, intelligent, and very protective Doberman Pinscher also known as the "Velcro Dog". When I got older I decided that being a dog enthusiast myself is what I loved. I explored the field of show handling and learned I had a knack for it. Show handling played a special role in my breeding strategy. Getting to know other breeders, their lines, dogs, and learning how to spot flaws not only from observing a dog, but through touch. Being a COE breeder I can not stress enough on how much more important it is to breed for quality not quantity.
My husband Mike and I raise our Rotties in the country with our 4 young children so temperament is very important to us. Our children play a very important role in the socialization of our dogs and puppies. Their minds will be as stable as possible and will know how to react to the commen stressfullness of a normal household.
Owning a dog of this size and not to mention stubborness takes time, commitment, and lots of patience. The devotion to it's home and family is astouding. They can adapt to many living conditions and be used for many purposes (well known for helping infants take their first steps or seperating livestock for the family farm). Even though, in a Rottie Lover's eyes they are the ultimate perfect breed, they are NOT for everyone.
