                                                                                             Stud Services

  All bitches bred on stud services will be required to have OFA hip/elbow certification with a scoring of fair or better on hips and normal elbows (grade 1 on one elbow will be acceptable) as well as to be critiqued by us before the heat cycle begins to establish merit, so we like to see the bitches 1 month before her estrus begins along with the OFA reports and if it is required due to the bitch being bred to a different stud in her lifetime, proof of a current brucellosis testing from a veterinarian will be needed during that time. We also require atleast a 3 generation pedigree so that we can review the bloodlines and research for any health issues in the bitch's ancestory and to help make a more sound descision on which breeding male would better suite her and have the best possible outcome in the litter.

 All stud services are done with a contract. Stud service prices are non-neg. and unless on a very rare occasion we state otherwise, we do not accept "first pick" or the like. Stud fees vary depending upon which stud is chosen by us to best compliment the bitch. Half of the total amount will be due at the time of mating, and the other half will be due when we fill out and sign the litter application no earlier than 4 weeks after the litter is born and we will need to see every puppy in the litter during that time. If we agree to accept a pick of the litter sired by our stud, dam owner will agree to raise the litter in the same fashion as we raise ours here at Cain Hill. Also agreeing to let us take care of all cosmetic procedures involving the litter (tail removal ect ect). Breeding will take place on our premises only. No exceptions. All breeding bitches must be registered with the American Kennel Club or registered with an American Kennel Club recognized club (Continental Kennel Club is not one of them). She is required to be within standard, must not exhibit any temperament issues (shyness aggressiveness or short nerve), and have all vaccinations current as well as parasite prevention. We will deny stud services to any bitches that has a questionable temperament and can not be easily interacted with by us or our children. If she has been serviced by any other stud in her lifetime then she will need to have a current brucellosis test prior to breeding. This test is required as it is a way to ensure the health of our breeding stock. Canine brucellosis can be very devistating to a breeding program. We do require that every puppy sired by one of our breeding males be placed under contract that has a general health guarantee.
